Three ways to work together.

Whether you'd like a plan, a coach, or a pair of hands in the soil, we can start small and grow from there.

Where would you like to begin?

Most clients begin with a design and add maintenance later, but you can pick any of these on its own. Pricing below is a starting point; the final number depends on the size of the garden and the depth of the work.

  • Native garden design

A garden plan rooted in your site, your light, and the New Jersey ecology.

We walk your property together, talk about how you actually use the space, and look at sun, soil, drainage, and existing plants. I take it from there and come back with a planting plan you can read.

You'll get a scaled drawing, a plant list with quantities, a sourcing note for local nurseries, and a planting-order sketch so you (or I) can install it without guesswork.

  • Coaching for DIY gardeners

You do the planting. I keep you confident, on plan, and out of common dead ends.

For homeowners who want to do it themselves and want a more experienced eye in their corner. We meet on site, set a workable scope, pick plants together, and stay in touch through the planting season.

Especially useful for first-time native gardeners — the plants behave a little differently than what you may be used to, and a few well-timed conversations save a lot of replanting.

  • Installation & seasonal care

I'll bring the design to life and tend it through the seasons it takes to settle in.

Once a plan exists, I source the plants from native-focused nurseries, prepare the beds, and lay the garden in. We schedule planting to match the species — fall for most perennials, late spring for warm-season grasses.

Seasonal care is a light, careful version of maintenance — cutting back at the right time, editing what's spreading, and noticing when something wants more room or a different neighbor.

What working together looks like

A calm, three-step pace.

  1. 1. A conversation.

You send a note, I write back, and we set up a short call or site visit. No pressure, no hard sell.

  2. 2. A plan, in plain language.

I put together a written proposal with scope, plant approach, and price. You decide if and when to move forward.

  3. 3. The garden, season by season.

We start in the season that fits the work. I'll tell you what to expect each year, and what to leave alone.

Not sure which one fits?

Tell me a little about your yard and I'll point you to the right starting place.
